Bad dreams

Believing you are going to die and/or be eaten doesn't exactly make for a restful night.

Year of fun

I can feel my youth rapidly receding in the distance. It's certainly not a mindset, because god knows that I often think, feel, and act like a giddy child, but a set of body aches, pains, and expanded consciousness. I'm more careful with myself than I used to be, because the weight of experience tells me OW OW OW to PAY ATTENTION, or I'll just pay.

Still, that doesn't mean that I am a washed up, haggard old lady (just yet). I've got plenty of fun left in me, and I intend to NOT spend it (all) mindlessly staring at my (huge, glorious, surprisingly wonderful, flat screen, wall-mounted, Wii-and-blu-ray-enabled) TV. Armed with friend-seeking intentions and Groupon, this should be a busy, productive, and enormously entertaining year. That's my only resolution, and I'm determined to stick to it.

Oh wait, I also resolve to practice my Mandarin. We really need to, since we are going to China this year. So maybe that's not a resolution so much as a travel necessity? Regardless, I post it here to throw my hat over the fence. SPEAK MOAR CHINESE already.
