I'm not shrinking!

Currently: jubilant

I've come to accept that I will eventually be a hunched-over little old Chinese lady, complete with the magenta/too-black/probably both, badly-permed hair, cane, and brightly-colored slippers. Due to my lack of fondness for most things dairy, my steadfast forgetfulness in sticking to a vitamin regimen, and, best of all, a genetic predisposition, I'm fairly certain that I'm an osteoporosis time bomb just ticking away.

However, that day is not today! In fact, my latest physical, while needle-sticky (d*mn you, tiny, tiny veins!) and unpleasant in general, yielded the awesome result that I'm still growing!!!! Or if not still growing, I've been vastly under measured!!! Instead of pretending that I'm 63 inches tall (I've always measured in at 62.5, so...), now I can pretend I'm 64 (63.58723, approx.) inches tall!!! Hey, this is exciting for me - behold, I am tall (and it's going to say so on my next license)! Or at least closer to being the American average. Yay!
Sadly, none of this changes the fact that I'm exactly at armpit height for most other people, which is especially unfortunate on the Metro...
